Future Selves Camp 21-23 August 2020
Samuel Levack and Jennifer Lewandowski held Future Selves Camp at Rame Projects, for a regrouping of our creative communities. The camp was focused on self-care for artists and creatives with a holistic approach to living and working today. At Future Selves Camp we gathered together for conversation and food, cooked over an open fire, and explored techniques in mindfulness and motivation in our practice. Set over three days, there was time and space to reflect on how the landscape around us, whether rural or urban, affects our state of mind and can lead us to new forms of creativity, coastal walks and shared meditations on nature and the energy of the sea whilst exploring and discussing new ideas around our future selves.
Levack and Lewandowski also led workshops for local residents and home-schooled students, that involved walking in the Cornish landscape and testing out experimental filming techniques that they have developed on travels in California and Colorado, USA. There was also a screening of their short film Red Desert (2018), shot in the USA, Glastonbury Festival, the English countryside, and the London Docklands.
